Pictures of Ibizan Hounds appear in ancient hieroglyphs in Egyptian pyramids. On the Island of Ibiza, it has been considered terrible luck to kill an Ibizan Hound. Ibizan Hounds are known as escape artists and can even jump many feet in the air from a standstill and leap over high fences.
